I've spoken to him a few times, I think he's given up, and like me/the rest of us, you need a complete running period correct car first ! |

Can someone explain to me exactly why a car needs to be homologated to race? Presumably this is only necessary when the car is raced abroad? I'm saying this as numerous Olympics have raced in the UK over the years. |

depend of races you want to do.
For FISC, no homologation need, just respect them rules. _________________ Alexandre Contat

FiA homologation does indeed allow you to race anywhere, its like a passport . . . . however the fact that there are no FiA race series and the fact that cheating in historics pupporting to be FiA App K period correct is rife, means that its of an ever decreasing relevance, Fisc eurotour, HSCC and numerous others offer planty of good racing opportunities for non homologated acrs and/or sensibly modified/modernised old cars.
For those of us who have period correct cars and keep them that way, App K does, in principal at least, offer some form of levelling as far as car spec and prep goes. the reality however is somewhat different |

So who decides if a car has been 'sensibly' modified? The scrutineers? When the car gets deemed acceptable, does it get some sort of certificate which allows it to race for the remainder of the season without any further hassle? |

We are still working towards getting the lightweight out racing, unfortunately work commitments mean that progress is extreemly slow, I have been looking at doing HSCC for now.
With the complete history we have for JJH 20G there may be some way of getting the car recognised but we have been trying for about 15 years now so don't hold your breath. |
