On Sunday 4th October 2015 there is a classic car show at EllenRoad engine house in Rochdale.
Though it is very short notice we have had an invite to attend, Les, Howard and myself intend to support this little event, why not come and have a look if you are short of something to do on Sunday.
see www.ellenroad.org.uk for a feel of what they do there. _________________ Working to increase the profile of Rochdale Cars |

The event at the Ellen Road engine house attracted a large number of interesting classics ranging from a replica 'C' type jaguar to an ex German army lorry, and just about everything between.
or me it was an opportunity to re-visit my childhood memories of the area where we used to visit my paternal grandparents in the early 1960's.
We weren't in the minority with 3 Olympics showing up, the ex Bob Heppell phase 1 now owned by Paul Black, Howard Evans brought his phase 2, and I went up in my 1961 Phase 1. Also in attendance were Les Brown who travelled down from Leeds in his 1970's Ford Transit camper and Steven Wood who is still beavering away on his Phase 2R.
The steam engine was in full steam on the day and was quite a spectical being the largest steam engine in the world.
The picture shows MFO 123 and 886 WTF which bookmark the fire which destroyed the first RMP factory, WTF being a pre fire car and MFO being post fire.
