I am not sure yet Alex, I have a Vauxhall (Opel) Astra diesel rad which has an electric fan fitted but the inlet and outlet are on the wrong side. I will look at the VW rad and others before I decide.

Dave

Misters,

I project to participate to track days with my Olympic, track days that I organise www.scct.fr

But in France we must have a tow hook on the car to can run in track.
Problem, where can I fit a tow hook front and rear ?

I have a customer with a Turner, we haven't come up with a good idea for the rear of the car yet . . .

the easiest option is to build a reliable car! Rolling Eyes

It needs to be attached to somewhere substantial and the first piece of anything substantial in an Olympic is the front subframe. Bolt the towing 'eye' to this.

bolt something through the floor of the car and forward at low level ?

at the rear its not so easy, something off the axle, but getting it rearward without damaging the bodywork might be tricky

Alexandre

Extend the towing 'eye' back UNDER the front floor until it reaches the front subframe, then attach to the front subframe using a U-shaped bolt through the floor.

AHAAH, excellent !

si elle n'est pas pornographique, c'est vrai qu'elle montre les dessous de la Rochdale de manière graphique.
Choquante ?

Alex your Olympic looks different to mine. Wonder why?
The moulded in roll bar mounts on mine are parallel to the axis of the car and on your car they look to be angled inwards and your car looks to have a join down the centre and mine has not.
Paul N, you know loads about the history any comment?
