That is one of my early restorations, it is a 1966 phase one, originaly registered OBN 391D. I sold it to a guy from Middlesborough in about 1980 and I was told it had been written off as it had been crashed through a shop window. The rear arches have been widened to allow for wider wheels whilst retaining the original profile, this was done by cutting and spreading the rear of the arch, then fitting a new moulding behind to match up the rear wing, the area below the swage line remains untouched so the only way you can tell it has been done is that the swage line is deeper below than above. |
