Hello - it's my car!
I have just rejoined the club and wrote something for the last magazine and will continue the story of the car with some further updates.
It's been an interesting journey but with the car in the hands of Youles Racing, 2013 should be the year that the car finally starts to provide some enjoyment.

Alistair, I look forward to you progressing with the car, will you put the info on here or just on RR?
Paul, are you the guy with the other Rochdale in Alistairs thread on RR
(Page 10 near the bottom)
Regards
Dave

Hi Paul,

Yes the link works OK.

The car is looking real good, what a difference how the body looks now it is painted.
You will probably not notice the body shape changes unless it is parked next to an original Olympic.
Personally I am not against owners modifying old Olympics, providing it is well engineered and looks good. Your Olympic was not well built when first assemble by the original owner in 1968,
has not been on the road since 1987, was rescued from been scraped in 1996 and lived in a Turkey shed for 15 years till you bought it in 2011.
If itís back on the road soon looking good what could be better than that?
Good luck with it.

Regards

Tony

Thanks Tony S & John P for information & parts to help me along the righteous path Laughing and I appreciate the comment that the modifications are in keeping, this was my aim as I like the styling and wanted to keep it looking period and still entirely recognisable as a Rochdale.

Just a quick, 1 picture update.
The car is now being reassembled after a lot of new work carried out by Mike Youles racing.
The changes are much more than skin deep, but I though some of you may appreciate the more subtle bodywork this time around

I'll provide an (overdue) update for the ROC mag.
