Looking for advice on source a Fabricated Exhaust manifold [ 3 into 2 into 1] to fit a Morris Minor based Phase 1 with 1275 A series engine. Looks like a standard Midget manifold hangs down too much. |

Hi Ron
I have an MG Midget LCB manifold in the garage. I haven't test fitted it against my MM 1098 yet (planned 1275 cyl head in the future). I could get some approx. measurements from it, if that is any good for you?
Have you considered the Cooper S 3 branch manifold - highly rated - looks like it might fit?
Also, the Maniflow Cooper Freeflow - again highly rated - looks like it might be adaptable to fit by cutting and turning the bottom bend?
Good luck. _________________ Phase 1R Olympic

We have fitted both 'A' series and 'B' series long centre branch manifolds to Olympics, both types require some form of modification to make them fit the Olympic application. _________________ Working to increase the profile of Rochdale Cars |

Hi Keith
Do you have any details and photos of the mods required, that you could share on the forum? _________________ Phase 1R Olympic

I was prepared to "cut and shut" a Midget exhaust, [which I have] but was concerned that later somebody would say "Why did'nt you just.........?"
Anyway thanks for your comments. I share Alan's interest in preliminary dimension. |

I strongly agree with your approach Ron - "there's no point re-inventing the wheel", "we don't know what we don't know" and "we don't get if we don't ask". _________________ Phase 1R Olympic
