Hi,
Are Olympic owners using the VW rubber gasket between the headlamp rim and bodywork?
My headlamp rims aren't a great fit to the wings, looks like a gasket would help.
Regards

Gary,
Do you have the original VW headlamps or Replica?
On my car I never felt the need for rubber seals, Perhaps you could post a picture of the areas you are not happy about and I will take the same pictures of my car and you can compare.
Does your car use the upturned fibreglass lip to hook the top af the lamp onto and a screw at the bottom to secure?

Hi Dave,
the headlights are new Cibie units, that came with the car.
One headlamp bowel has been cut out, but I do have it. The other one has been partially cut away, but I do have the bits to piece it back together.
The 'hooks' to locate the top of the rims, have been replaced with aluminium brackets bonded to the inside of the wing. with a bit of fettling I think I can make them work. Here's a couple of photos of the gaps.
Cheers

Gary,
It's a bit of a commando course in my workshop and these pictures are all I can get at the moment. It's all a bit dusty at present.
The headlamps are just resting in place without the lower bolt fixings.
Hope it may help you decide between gaskets or more filler / sanding.

They fit a lot better than mine! More filler and sanding I think.
Thanks
