Can anyone with an original Phase 2 Olympic let me have some pictures of the interior trim as supplied with the kit?
Did they have rear seats fitted? What did the area above the gearbox tunnel up to the dash look like?
Any help please.
I am about to start sewing a new headlining for my P2 and my GT and could also do with knowing how far down the headlining stopped at the rear of the rear side windows.
Regards

Hi Dave
If nobody else gets back to you sooner, chase me to dig out the bits from my Phase II and photograph them.
In fact, if you want my £15 100E engine, you can measure them up yourself when you come to collect it!!
All the best

I have what I think is an original ph2 transmission tunnel cover, if it is any good I can take a mould but be quick it is about to be incorporated into Alistair's car. |

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to collect all the trim parts to do my Olympic P2 from the roof down to the waist line.
These will be
1) Headlining with pockets sewn in for the rails
2) Rails in 6mm stainless
3) Brackets to mount the rails to the car
4) Rear quater trim panels with backing
5) New GRP "B" post trims
6) Foam backing as required
7) Extra headlining material for "B" post and screen pillars
8 ) GRP mouldings for Tailgate hinge surround and interior light mounting in the centre of the roof.
9) Roof soundproofing felt.
If anyone is provisionally interested in any or all of the above please let me know and we can probably save a few quid.
I will post up details of fitting the above in the near future.
Below are a few pictures of various parts and a few comments.
This is how the headlining rails were attached on my car, with filler. Not very good as they need to pivot to enable correct tension of the headliner.
Rear quater to be trimmed in headlining material, upwards from the bottom line of the rear side window. Backed with a 25mm thick foam infill.

Here is the "B" post trim (bit dirty) it fits between the weatherseals of the door and rear side window, it is based on a GRP moulding:-
and fitted with screws to two wooden blocks bonded in the "B" post:-
