On the old forum I raised the topic of Suitable heaters for the Phase 2.
Mine was fitted with a Mk2 transit which was much too large and I was looking for a suitable alternative. No one could tell me if there was one fitted by the factory.
Since then I have found what I think is an ideal solution even though it need a bit of modification to be just right.
The heater in question is from a triumph Gt6.
The mods needed are:-
1) Change water inlets from angled type to straight
2) Remove lower cold air outlets and blank off
It is a thin body and fits perfectly and only needs one operating cable.
Anyone wanting pictures just ask.
Regards

I know it is not cheap but I purchased one of the air-conditioning kits from Neil Foreman's company, Car builder Solutions an offshoot of NF Auto Development. The link is here:

The unit is very small and will make for a nice, neat and inconspicuous installation in my Phase I

Wow, That looks terrific, it will be a very civilised Olympic indeed.
All you need now is one of my Cruise control units to finish it off.

Couldn't agree more - as I have as many memories of being fried in my Olympic as being frozen, an aircon unit does have some appeal!

Down in the garage this morning, with so many urgent things to do and not much motivation, I thought I would start something different for a change.
With a bit of brake pipe and some aluminium mesh that I had laying around I made this.
It's not perfect and only took around 20 minuites, I think to do a proper job would only take an hour or so, including fixing tags solderd to the brake pipe frame.
The finshing touch would be some 8mm rubber "T" section fitted around the edge of the grille
