As many of you are aware some time ago we lost control of the Ph2 moulds, we have been trying to re patriate them ever since.

Good news on that front, we (the owners club) have now secured ownership of these items and are now working to remove them from their current location to a safe storage facility.

We will keep everyone informed of progress and our plans for these moulds.

After many years of trying we have finally secured ownership of the Rochdale Olympic Ph2 moulds, they are now in safe temporary storage at my workshop.

The big question now is what do we do with them in the long term. From the committee point of view we have made overtures to several motor museums with a view to them displaying the moulds and a car to show how inivative and far thinking Rochdale Motor Panels were. Unfortunately we have had no takers.

The future of the moulds will be a topic on the agenda for this years AGM.

As a pre cursor to this years AGM the committee have had a meeting to discus the future direction we would like to take with regards to the Olympic ph2 moulds.

The discussion culminated in a set of possible options and a number of 'bullet' points covering these options which will be outlined at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting to be held on the 2nd of April 2023 for discussion by the membership, any further options can also be tabled at the meeting.

The intention is to come up with a consensus of opinions and to follow up the discussion with a proposed plan which the committee will then investigate more thoroughly, if the proposed action is viable then it will be carried out.

All members are invited to come along and have your say.

Have the Club got the moulds for the fibreglass seats?

As far as I am aware the owners club don't have any moulds for the original Olympic seats.

Out of interest, I also wondered if the club knew the whereabouts of the Ph1 moulds?

The phase 1 moulds are also owned by the club and are currently being stored. We are in the process of ascertaining their condition and will be making a decision on their future once we have a plan for the phase 2 moulds.
