This car SUG55 the one Keith refers to, and the one of which I am custodian, was originally built by Allan Staniforth who later went on to build Terrapins and became one of the suspension gurus of the era.
it was also used as the photo for Rochdale advertising of the Mk6 body.
I am keeping a build diary which I am happy to share.
It is on a Buckler chassis with the lowered scuttle and seat back hoops as delivered from Buckler.

Rhys, Welcome to the forum.
With your car being such a rare and important model of early Rochdale I am so pleased you have decided to join the club and use the forum by offering to share your build diary.
Can I ask you to at least put a link to your build diary on here as it will stay in one place for all future interested parties to find easily.
Wishing you all the best with your restoration and looking forward to seeing your progress.
Regards, Dave

I don't have the build/resto saga posted anywhere, is it appropriate to have it as a topic on the forum somewhere?

Rhys, why not, it would be a permanent record of this important Rochdale and, with the Staniforth connection, this would be the best place for it. (in my opinion).
I really hope you find some help from mk6 owning members of the club.
Regards, Dave
