Steve, Thanks for the new link.
It's great to see some good progress, it's certainly been Tango'd.
The Minator rims look just right as well, would they have fitted under the standard rear arches?
Do you have the sizes of the rims and ET number? I can't remember what back axle your car has (Riley?)
Is there a projected finish date or is Keith doing the car on an as and when basis?
What are you proposing for the interior? Have you already got it sorted.
I'm getting quite excited for you.
Sorry for so many questions.

The size of Minator rims on this car are 13" x 5" with a 20mm offset, they are standard MG Midget pattern and with a maximum 165x70 tyre fitted should fit under standard bodywork.
I have fitted 14" x 5.5" Minators with a 22mm offset on a few cars including my own Orange and Yellow Olympics with 165x70 tyres and although they are a tight fit they will fit under the standard arches. These are standard Morris Minor pattern.
This is Jasons phase 2 with 14" wheels fitted, and yes he had just overtaken the Porsche.
This is my phase 1 with the 14" wheels fitted. _________________ Working to increase the profile of Rochdale Cars |

Keith, Thanks for the reply.
Both cars look great, the rims really suit the cars to a T.
A couple of questions if I may
Do you know what running gear is fitted to Jason's car? Is it Triumph/ Ford front and rear.
Have you any idea of the power of the engine?
Thanks in anticipation, Dave _________________ Ph.2 Ford 1500 GT

Jason's car is a phase 2R so it is running Riley 1.5 all round. The front has been modified (I think) to run coil overs, and the rear radius arms have had our rose joint conversion fitted. Apart from that it is fairly standard.
The engine is a 1275 'A' series which has been 'looked at' a little, and produced just short of 80BHP on the rolling road at 7,200RPM.
In Jason's Olympic which we weighed that equates to a little over 110BHP per ton at the wheels. _________________ Working to increase the profile of Rochdale Cars |
