a) filler neck diameter was too large for the fillers on my Phase 1

The pedal box in my Phase 1 is (I think) from a Mini - and completely different to that in your photos (has vertical master cylinders).

I suspect that wire colouring, etc, wasn't necessarily consistent throughout production - and so some time spent with a multimeter is probably the only way to do any troubleshooting. I'm afraid I simp ... |
