Dimensions for a mini rack shim that I have just taken from a spare rack I have, It won't be a perfect fit but it should be easy enough to buy a few and check if this is indeed the issue.

The simplest way to achieve what you are after is to go for a Ford 3 rail gearbox
from a 105E Anglia or a Bullet box as fitted to the Corsair 2000E with the remote removed.

Hi John, I haven't done it, but I know Burton supply a kit for converting the Type 9 box to hydraulic.
I'm going hydraulic, but with a Mazda RX8 gearbox.

Is the bellhousing you have removable from the gearbox? If so you might be able to swap it for a similar item from an earlier type (hydraulic).
